Birds Eye (Capsicum Frutescens) are very easy to grow and can be found all over the world, this chilli originates from Malawi in Africa. The ‘African Birds Eye’, or ‘Piri Piri’ (which translates as pepper pepper) have become one of the most popular chillies used today for their lingering, strong chilli kick.

Ingredients: 100% Birds Eye (Piri – Piri) Chilli (Capsicum Frutescens).

Pungency: Typically, SHU 50,000-100,000, (Heat units can vary considerably within a species and is further affected by regional cultivation/climate).
